Domestic & Family Violence Support

If you are experiencing abusive behaviour or domestic and family violence, you are not alone. We are here to listen – in your language – and to help you find the right safety and support.

Who this is for

This service is for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds of all genders and age groups who are facing or are in a situation of domestic and family violence.

The service is available to people who have been in Australia for less than 10 years, including:

  • Humanitarian entrants and refugees
  • Family-stream migrants and partner/family visa holders
  • Dependents of skilled migrants
  • People on other eligible visa types

Everyone has the right to feel safe, respected, and treated equally. Our bilingual community workers can provide support in a wide range of community languages.

What we offer

  • A safe, confidential conversation with multilingual workers who understand your culture and language
  • Information and support for women, men, and children from diverse backgrounds
  • Community awareness work in partnership with the Outer West Domestic Violence Network (OWDVN) and Blacktown City Council, aligned with the Australian Government National Plan to End Violence Against Women and Children 2022–2032
  • Multilingual resources – including community videos for people who have experienced violence – available in Filipino, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Dari, Tamil, and Mandarin

How it works

  1. Reach out to us by phone or email for a confidential conversation, whenever you are ready.
  2. Talk with one of our workers, in your own language, about what is happening and what support you need.
  3. We help connect you with the right information, services, and support.
