Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

Entry-level support to help you keep living independently at home — with help around the house, personal care, social connection and respite.

 
 

Who this is for

Older people who need some ongoing or short-term help to manage at home. CHSP is a good starting point if you need a hand with daily tasks rather than higher-level care.

What we offer

  • Help with housework
  • Assistance with showering and personal grooming
  • Social support and group activities
  • Respite, which may include preparing culturally appropriate light meals

How it works

  1. Register with My Aged Care for an assessment
  2. Check your local government area is covered (see below)
  3. Contact SydWest to start your CHSP services

Can I get this?

Our CHSP-funded programs operate only within the local government areas of Blacktown, Cumberland, Parramatta and The Hills. A My Aged Care referral is required. If you’re unsure which LGA you live in, we can help you check.
